Maintaining your health over the winter holidays is always challenging. The change in weather brings with it a surge in infectious illnesses, while the hustle and bustle of the holidays disrupt healthy routines. Then there’s the added stress that weakens our immune systems. Is it time to consider Immune System Therapy in Tampa, FL?
Fueling that stress is the likelihood that if you really need to see a healthcare professional, their availability is reduced due to scaled-back holiday hours.
It’s likely that our collective immunity is down due to increased forced vaccination, staying home for two years, and overdoing it with cleaning products.
This year is shaping up to be particularly challenging given the potential threat of a highly anticipated “Tripledemic” (a mass media sensationalization for what is described above)— flu, coronavirus, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) — not to mention the growing concern over strep A infections both here and abroad.
What can you do to keep yourself and your family healthy over the holidays? In this post, we provide some tips for staying healthy — or at least reducing the risk of severe illness and speeding recovery when illness strikes – or you could also try our Immune System Therapy. We’re also sharing our holiday office hours for your convenience.
Holiday Office Hours
Here at BioDesign Wellness Center, we’re doing our part by staying open for most of the holidays.
The only day off for staff in our Tampa clinic is Monday, Dec. 26. For the other days around the holidays, we’ll be keeping our regular office hours of 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. EST.
Tips for Supporting Your Immune System
In the Tampa area, winter also represents an extended period of migration, with residents of northern states heading south to take advantage of our warm and sunny weather.
To prepare yourself for this influx of people and the infectious agents they may be introducing to the area, we strongly recommend that you focus on supporting your immune system.
While conventional medicine continues to promote its solution of masks, social distancing, and vaccinations (still no mention of supporting the body’s immune system), we recommend the following for immune system support:

- Water (stay hydrated)
- 10,000 units of vitamin D daily in food
- 2,000 – 5,000 mg vitamin C daily
- 30 mg zinc daily with food
- 300 mg magnesium daily
- 1 gram of fish oil daily with food
- N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) 900 mg daily
This may cost you about $200 per month, which, when you think about it, more than pays for itself in the form of reduced costs for medication, doctor visits, and possible hospital stays, along with less missed work/school and a higher quality of life.
Here are a few additional tips for staying healthy over the holidays:
- Maintain your sleep schedule as much as possible
- Maintain your exercise routine
- Eat healthy — don’t overindulge
Pro Tip: For those of us who find it difficult to remain gluten-free during the holidays, Gluten Flam (which is available from Amazon) is a supplement featuring enzymes and amino acids that protect the intestinal lining against any inflammation caused by gluten. That’s good news for those who might accidentally ingest some holiday gluten often found in baked goods or meals you may eat at restaurants. But it doesn’t mean you can eat as much gluten as you want — especially if you have celiac disease or have a sensitivity to gluten. For those who don’t want to stand out from the crowd this holiday season, Gluten Flam supplement enables you to ingest small amounts of gluten.
Even if you do all the right things, you may still get sick. However, you’ll be more resilient, you won’t need a vaccine, and you’ll reduce your risk of suffering potential blood clots, myocarditis, and other vaccine and coronavirus-associated side effects. You’ll also lower your risk of long-haul COVID.
Remember, the key to not getting sick and recovering quickly in the event that you do get sick is staying as healthy as possible. And that’s our specialty — restoring health and building resilience.
If you’re already feeling run down going into this holiday season, we strongly encourage you to contact us to schedule a consultation. BioDesign Wellness Center can provide a thorough evaluation and testing to find out what’s standing between you and optimum health, and we will provide the treatments necessary to put you on the road to recovery.
